Role Summary:
As a Rheumatologist, you will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases affecting the joints, muscles, and connective tissues.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s condition and needs.
- Prescribe medications, injections, and other therapeutic interventions to manage symptoms and slow disease progression.
- Educate patients and their families about rheumatic diseases, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Residency training in Rheumatology.
- Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
- Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
