Role Summary:
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that products and materials meet quality standards and specifications. You will perform inspections, tests, and audits to identify defects and deviations from quality requirements, and work closely with production teams to implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests using calibrated equipment and instruments.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test data, and non-conformance reports.
- Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and deviations from quality requirements, and work with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and verify compliance with quality management procedures and work instructions, and provide feedback to management on opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues and customer complaints, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Provide support and guidance to production teams on quality-related matters, including interpretation of quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that quality requirements are met throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct audits and assessments of suppliers and subcontractors to evaluate their quality management systems and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, practices, and tools.
- Experience with inspection techniques, methods, and equipment.
- Familiarity with quality standards and specifications applicable to the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and quality management software.
- Certification in quality management or quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO) is a plus.
