Our client is a rapidly growing healthcare company with a mission to make prescription medications more accessible and affordable for patients across Africa. Headquartered in Accra, Ghana, and supported by mission-driven investors, the company has expanded its reach to 9 African countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Togo, Zambia, Ethiopia). By collaborating with drug manufacturers, healthcare providers, and third-party payers, they have successfully reduced the cost of medicines for hundreds of thousands of patients.

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Associate to join their Retail team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional who upholds high standards of service, working closely with customers to foster loyalty and enhance satisfaction. The Key Account Associate will play a critical role in supporting customer relationships and driving operational success, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times.
  • Develop strong relationships with facility owners and oversee daily operations at partner locations while communicating our client’s values and the benefits of their model.
  • Track and analyze facility revenues to drive growth, using data to make informed decisions about revenue development.
  • Manage multiple customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate quarterly health screenings and customer service training at partner facilities.
  • Identify new business development opportunities with partner establishments, working to achieve agreed-upon revenue growth targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partner facilities and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Provide technical assistance and product support to customers, acting as the subject matter expert on product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely processing of orders and share consumption data to support monthly planning.
  • Address and resolve operational issues such as billing discrepancies and delivery delays, tracking progress on problem resolution.
  • Partner with the billing team to improve inventory processes and resolve billing issues.
  • Work with the customer service team to enhance customer experience by implementing efficient procedures and tools.
  • Assist in the creation and improvement of key marketing, training, and communication materials.
  • Contribute to other initiatives critical to the continued success of the QRx service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for improving access to high-quality, affordable medicines.
  • Strong work ethic, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in French with excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills; English fluency is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry (pharmaceuticals, clinical practice, or other healthcare services).
  • Ability to provide data-driven advice and conduct industry analysis.
  • Understanding of business development and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the healthcare sector (including internships).
  • Pharmacists or pharmacologists are preferred.
