Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Procurement Intern to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. The ideal candidate must be smart and possess good negotiation skills. This internship opportunity is perfect for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in procurement and develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services.
• Support procurement officers in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers.
• Aid in the preparation of purchase orders and documentation for procurement activities.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier information.
• Help monitor inventory levels and track delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and provide support as required.
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to improve procurement processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Smart, proactive, and eager to learn with a strong desire to pursue a career in procurement.
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
