Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a solid background in production and manufacturing, coupled with knowledge of the solar industry. The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE policies.
- Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Lead safety training and awareness programs for all employees to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to ensure that safety practices are integrated into all operations.
- Ensure that all necessary HSE documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and available as required by regulatory authorities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HSE.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in production and manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations within the solar industry is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using HSE software and tools for reporting and analysis.
