Role Summary:
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants, analyzing financial data, and making recommendations for loan approvals. You will play a crucial role in managing credit risk and ensuring the quality of the loan portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine loan eligibility.
- Conduct risk assessments and make recommendations for loan approvals or denials.
- Monitor loan portfolios and identify potential credit issues or delinquencies.
- Collaborate with loan officers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Communicate lending decisions to clients and provide feedback on credit applications.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments affecting credit risk.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management review.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a credit analyst or similar role in banking, microfinance, or financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial principles, credit analysis, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
