Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to our team. As an Area Sales Manager, you will oversee and manage sales activities within your designated area, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and driving business growth for our FMCG products. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, a proven track record in sales, and leadership abilities to drive team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for the designated area to achieve sales targets and business growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and retail partners to promote product offerings.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and adapt sales strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and achievement of individual and team goals.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs, address concerns, and promote Prime Star products effectively.
- Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and drive product visibility in the market.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory levels to meet sales demand without overstocking.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An MBA in Marketing or Business Administration is highly preferred.
- A professional certificate in Sales or Marketing is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the FMCG sector, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to travel within the assigned area as required.
