Role Summary:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Perform software installations, updates, and patches.
- Manage user accounts and permissions.
- Document support tickets and resolutions in the help desk system.
- Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
