Role Summary:
As a Risk Management Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and financial risks to ensure the stability and security of the organization. You will play a key role in developing risk management strategies and implementing controls to safeguard assets and minimize losses.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze potential risks to the organization’s operations, finances, and reputation.
- Develop risk assessment methodologies and frameworks to evaluate and prioritize risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize exposure and losses.
- Monitor key risk indicators and performance metrics to track risk levels and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk management policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on risk awareness and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses to address incidents and breaches.
- Prepare reports and presentations on risk management activities and findings.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in risk management or a similar role in the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Certification in risk management or related field is a plus.
