Our client, NigerDelta Energy Resources, is engaged in the exploration, production, and distribution of oil and gas. Committed to sustainable energy practices and community development, they have been making significant contributions to the sector since 2008.
Role Summary:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing oil and gas projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project resources, and ensure project success through effective communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and vendors, to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor and track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure alignment and satisfaction with project deliverables.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Conduct project post-mortems and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices to be applied to future projects.
- Stay informed about industry trends, developments, and emerging technologies in oil and gas project management, and assess their potential impact on project execution and delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the oil and gas industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify project risks and issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and best practices in the oil and gas industry.
