Role Summary:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating oil and gas projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute oil and gas projects in accordance with project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and project team members.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against key milestones and targets.
- Coordinate project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal allocation and utilization.
- Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders and senior management through regular status updates and reports.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Manage project budgets and expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial controls and procurement processes.
- Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and implement performance improvement initiatives as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project team and across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as PMBOK, Agile, and MS Project.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues and conflicts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with diverse stakeholders and team members.
- Knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and quality standards and regulations applicable to the oil and gas industry.
