Role Summary:
As a Logistics Coordinator at our client’s retail chain, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and supplies to stores. You will play a key role in optimizing logistics processes, managing transportation and distribution, and ensuring smooth operations to support store operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, warehousing, and inventory management, to ensure timely delivery of goods and supplies to stores.
  • Plan and schedule transportation routes and deliveries, optimizing routes and load plans to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, carriers, and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels at distribution centers and stores, and coordinate replenishment and restocking activities to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiate rates and contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize logistics operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance logistics performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and store management, to align logistics activities with business objectives and support store operations and customer service initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements, including transportation regulations and customs clearance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and systems, with experience in using ERP systems and transportation management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
