Our client, a leading healthcare institution in Lagos State, Nigeria, is dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care and expertise, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Role Summary:
As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the surgical team, providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile operating room environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing sterile instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as needed.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infection.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patients’ recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Document patient information and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Nursing.
- Valid nursing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Proven experience working as an Operating Room Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
