Role Summary:
As an Oncologist at you will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, providing compassionate care to patients while utilizing the latest advances in oncology research and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations and diagnostic tests to determine the type and stage of cancer in patients.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients with cancer, incorporating chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and targeted therapies as appropriate.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and adjust treatment regimens as necessary.
- Provide supportive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, managing symptoms and side effects to improve quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and palliative care specialists, to coordinate comprehensive cancer care.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to advancements in oncology practice.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution, with specialization in oncology.
- Valid medical license to practice as an oncologist in Nigeria.
- Board certification or eligibility in oncology.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Compassionate bedside manner and excellent communication skills.
